Welcome to the new EPICTABLEGAMES.COM! It’s been a while since I started this project and building the entire thing on my local server meant that I could really push how well it functioned prior to releasing it to the internet. The nice thing is that we’re build on a completely new backend that does have a focus on speed as well as functionality, this means that the site should be faster for our users on mobile browsers as well as desktop browsers.
As much as I tried to save our forums I did know that they wouldn’t last as form of communications as we were just starting out. When I made the announcement back in January of 2022 that we’d be shutting them down I removed 1/2 of the functionality and now three months later I removed the rest of it because the website was suffering due to building it on a content system that wasn’t designed to do what we were using it for. This means that everything should also function with better ease and be more mobile responsive.
Another feature that I’m excited about is links that open apps on mobile devices for our podcast, as well as all of our episodes being able to have their own individual posts within the website. This feature isn’t a huge deal but it helps keep the entire ETG brand under one umbrella which is good for everyone. When we’re not as spread out as we have been, it’s easier to connect with you.
All of this has been a work in progress and while there have been some learning curves involved, what we have found is that between our Audio Show, running the store, and actually manufacturing our products we needed to do more to make it better. If it wasn’t fun or easy to use, why would anyone use it?
