Every year (sans the 2020 pandemic shutdown) nearly seventy-thousand gaming fans descent upon the city of Indianapolis, Indian during North America’s largest and longest running table top gaming convention; GenCon. This year we are happy to announce that we will be sending two of our own to the convention to cover as much of the mayhem and chaos we can.
The weekend of August 4-7 is a four day adventure in everything related to table top gaming and more. There are over thirty-three thousand scheduled events that cover everything from developing characters to unknown independent games to how to run a successful hobby shop. There are test plays of upcoming games, and awards for games released over the last year. There are workshops for crafting better story telling, and there is crafting to make keepsakes of your time there.
Our Epic Mastermind Rob De Ville will be traveling the 250 miles to the Indianapolis Convention Center with long time collaborator and newest Epic Table Games Content creator, Mike “Machio” Reynolds. Over these 3 days we’ll look into everything we can that’s interesting, talk with vendors on the floor, film interviews with anyone we can reach, and try our hand at playing some of the various games available to review and discuss with our listeners over the course of the weekend.
To mark the one year anniversary of Epic Table Games and our inaugural trip to GenCon, we will be offering 2022 GenCon specific business cards and temporary changes to our overall look and branding. It’s a way to mark every year at GenCon and turn something small and simple into a neat collector item that shows your love for Epic Table Games.
Unlike most of our regular Audio Show episodes, these bite sized bits of information will be compiled into a playlist style of episodes or a single edited episode uploaded once we have enough content to dictate a full single episode. Either way, stay tuned for more information about Epic Table Game’s trip to GenCon and all of the awesome content ready to be released!
