We hope this message finds you well. Today, we’re writing with mixed emotions as we announce the departure of our long-time host, Eli Ninnemann, from SideQuests! It’s with both sadness and hope that we bid farewell to Eli as he embarks on a new journey.
Eli has been an integral part of SideQuests! since its second season, bringing passion, creativity, and a unique perspective to our weekly podcast and Epic Table Games. His dedication to the show and our community has been unwavering, and his presence will truly be missed.
In recent discussions with Eli, it became apparent that it was time for him to step away from SideQuests! and Epic Table Games. As always, our communication with Eli has been transparent and open, reflecting the values we hold dear within our community. We respect Eli’s decision and wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.
During our conversations, Eli expressed concerns regarding certain aspects of our approach, particularly in regards to maintaining a neutral stance on various issues. We understand and appreciate his perspective, and we acknowledge the importance of fostering an environment where everyone feels heard and respected.
We recognize the need for consistency and integrity in our stance, and we will reflect on Eli’s feedback as we move forward.
Additionally, the recent situation involving Dave Scott and Evil Genius Games has highlighted differences in opinion within our community. While we believe in the importance of separating the creator from the creation, we understand Eli’s decision to distance himself from any association he cannot support. We respect his principles and the integrity with which he upholds them.
As we navigate this transition, we remain committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community within Epic Table Games. We are grateful for the support of our listeners and contributors, and we look forward to continuing this journey with you.
